| Pegged 18 light chandelier |
This magnificent chandelier is in the Dutch style.
It has 18 arms ,and each arm, drip pan,and candle
nozzle is numbered, so that when it is removed
or cleaned, it is put back together in the correct order. This was essential as these chandeliers were made individually by hand,so each piece had
it`s desginated place, and would fit no other.
The chandelier is 35 inches at widest, and is
35inches top ring to bottom ring. It is made from
cast brass, at the end of the 19th century.
It is not electrified, but this could carried out in a sympthetic manner. |

This impressive chandelier is in heavy cast brass. The top two tiers of arms are pegged, and were
intended to be used with candles. However the
bottom tier is screwed into the centre column,
and has the remains of taps, so this indicates gas was used in these lower arms.
The chandelier is 36inches at widest and is 40inchesin height. |
